The cellular automaton consists of a grid whose cells evolve from generation to generation according to a very simple rule. In each step, exactly one ball falls into the center of the grid. A tipping threshold can be selected; for example, if there are four balls in the central cell, they are automatically moved to the four orthogonal neighboring cells. The algorithm continues: once a cell reaches the tipping threshold, the process continues in the same way. This creates a dynamic fractal pattern.
